Every year it just seems like the fire crackers are getting a tad longer and louder.

Not sure where they buy them from. Living in an Asian area I think their neighbours are all immune to it.

Imagine us setting one off in our Anglo area. The cops would be knocking at our doors in 5 minutes.

Woke up to find a text from my manager. Can anyone work today? One pharmacist is off sick. From what it looked like yesterday she’s only rostered 3 on to work the job of 4 .

The other pharmacists were saying wonders who’s the 4th or just us? As I don’t work Sundays.

I’m being a baddie not putting up my hand for shifts . I’ve only got two more to go thus I’m riding out my commitment.

Once committed I try to fulfill my commitment then that’s that .

This coming week the kids will start back at school. By now all the parents are a bit frayed at the edges. It’s been a long Summer holidays .

We have 4 school terms over here. Each is about 8-10 weeks long with a two weeks break in between. Then the long Summer holidays at the end a bit before Christmas and ending just after Australian Day.

In saying that the older kids Year 10-11 finishes after their exams so end of November or so.

My youngest Year 8 finished early December. After that it’s just activity week for the last week which she always got a note to excuse her from it.

I’m glad they are going back to school. Less dishes to wash. I don’t have to worry about school lunches since they pack their own.

As for school drop offs and pick ups it’s nonexistent for us . They just hop on the train and off they go.

Still got to go over my son’s uniform . Spent yesterday sorting out our study so the kids are ready for the school year.

It’s looking much better than before I started. The youngest is doing her own side as she declined my help.

My son is a hoarder. He’s hoarding boxes . I need to get rid of them.

The far end is my oldest’s she’s asked her dad for his bench . She’s been studying in her room.
