Our oldest just messaged me she’s at the airport. Her text read just in case you’re worried I’m at the airport .
Apparently she got there at 830am. Check in doesn’t open until 915am. Her flight isn’t due until around midday😂
I was like what the? She’s always running late just like her dad. Always cutting it fine. Well looks like this trip has taught her something.
Have changed her sheets . Whilst doing so I saw her inspirational quotes.
To think I gave birth to her. All these years I’ve often wondered am I doing the right thing? Have I brought them up right? Are they going to be a good addition to the human race?
I’m not bought just yet. The road is still a long one.

I try to though comparing with other mums I could have done more. I was too busy worrying that I might go one day and they wouldn’t be able to cope😊

I’m not sure if its wise to compare yourself to other mom. You might not have what they have, and they might not have what you have. 😀

Yes, it certainly takes time to form new habits but at least she’s making an effort. Be sure to praise her efforts. Encouragement is a powerful tool. It builds self confidence.
I had really low self esteem as a kid. I was criticized much and encouraged little. I had to prove myself worthy and felt undeserving. Sadly, that programming is still in me but I’m a lot more confident now and try to be a better parent to my kids.

Yes I think we were from a generation where we had to earn our worth. Sometimes I catch myself ..she’s much more worldly than I was at her age.

Yep, that’s very true.
I’m having conversations with my 5 yr old about things I never spoke of until much older. It’s amazing how much they know. ☺

Yes they do know an awful lot. Keep talking to her. We have lots of conversations with our kids just to make sure they are on the right track . No phones at the dining table at night as dinner is about spending time together.
