If yesterday was anything to go by the rest of Autumn for us will be cold cold. We are supposed to rewind our clocks back an hour on Sunday. Don’t think the one hour sleeping in will make up for the dark and dreary days ahead.
This morning was quite fresh. I’m having coffee with a fleecy on over my usual tee and shorts.
I’ve figured out what my project is going to be. Since there’s apartments going up everywhere around us we might as well join in the fun.
At the moment the downstairs house the business. In the long run I wouldn’t mind turning it into two apartments and split upstairs into another two.
That way we will end up with 4 , one for each kid and one for us.
With the ways things are going they’d have trouble living inner city. It’s too expensive.
I’ve got to go dig out our house plans as the main challenge will be how to get light into downstairs so the apartments don’t look too dingy and dark.
It’s another of my grand plans we might or we might not do it but if we head down that route it’s all ready to go.
Plus I love drawing plans and figure out where things go. One good thing is it’s all high ceiling downstairs and thus will convert quite well.
The only problem is getting it through council. To change it to 4 we’d need car parks . Which means sacrificing our deck to put in a car stacker.

Anyhow it’s nice to dream. It will give me an end point to work towards.
As for today no idea what I’m doing . Have caught up at the business and on the home front.
I can either go grab groceries and cook something different like shepherd’s pie since the weather is getting cooler. Thanks to Jim for getting it into my head. Now I can’t get it back out 😂 or I can shove it and go wandering.

It’s the kids’ last day of school today. They’ll have two weeks off for term break.
I’m hoping to go down to the hidey hole next Wednesday night and spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday down there.
Will have to find time to go through their wardrobes to go shopping for Winter clothes.
They tend to choose their own stuff now I just have to be there to guide them as to how many and if the stuff they choose are suitable and within budget.
Four is my magic number .
4 jeans/ khaki
4 long sleeve tees
4 trackies pants
4 fleecies/ jumpers
4 long PJs
1 Winter jacket
1 pair of Winter shoes
1 pair of runners if worn or holey.
Most time it’s whatever have gone short. So might be PJs or tees. Rarely do I have to restock the whole wardrobe for each of them .
you’re welcome for the Shepard’s Pie idea. glad I could help. 🙂
