Now that I’ve bought a place it’s time to make it homey.
I’m starting to freak out that I might not have enough storage for my new kitchen. There’s not much space 😂
My living area is 4.4m by 6.6m or a total of 29m2. This total space has to house my kitchen, sleeping arrangements for my kids and a sofa for me.
Rough measurements the other day meant the kitchen is about 3.8m long. Minus 600mm either side I can have an island about 2.6m long to house kitchen stuff.
It will be white with a timber top and will need to accommodate 6 for dinner.
The wall bench is 900mm wide thus if I leave 1.1m between the bench and the island it totals up to 2.9m (island another 900mm)
The room is 4.4m wide meaning I’ve got 1.5m as walking room.
My sofa is 2.3m long so it will fit into the living area underneath the AC.
The wall bed can go on that wall adjacent to the pantry. There’s roughly 2.8m left thus enough for a QS bed and a 1.2m cupboard, shelvings and bench for TV.
The cupboard will house the kids’ clothes and back pack whilst they visit. The shelvings for my CDs and books
The bedroom wall has a highlight window which I’ll make bigger so I can see out.
At the moment the carpet in there is dark brown. I’ll take it up and put in a lighter sisal to go with the beach theme.
I’m excited but scared as well. I’m worried I won’t be able to fit all my junk in it 😂
