I got back to Melbourne around 5:30pm on Tuesday.
After shopping for my friend’s birthday pressie I had time to waste so I went walkies.
I’m glad I walked as I found these! Hidden away near a car park. You’d never see them from a street. I saw a bit of colour and it made me explore. The laneway is a bit dodgy so I entered it from a car park exit. That way I can gauge if I should be there or not.
I wonder why it’s called Shakespeare hotel?
See the guy standing there? Thought I was seeing double! Looked just like Mr Wanderer!
And of course we had dinner at our favourite Italian, Il Carretto in North Carlton. I’ve been going there since my daughter was born and she’s 24 this year.
They make a mean spaghetti marinara and creme caramel.
I want that desert!

Well, now we know what Mr. Wanderer looks like. 😉 My guess is that the hotel was owned by the Shakespeare family! Did you catch that the second person in the UK who received the vaccine was actually named William Shakespeare? That cracked me up. Cool murals, glad you snapped them. G-d, I love mussels; I haven’t had them since last year, I bet. – Marty

Oh, you probably have, Vy. I missed so much when I took my hiatus. I’ll go back and look tomorrow. 🙂

I haven’t! Since he’s a very private person! I might post now and leave post on for a bit and then take it down!
