I’m still waiting for my kids to stop growing. It’s like mum I need new runners. Mum my pants are too small.
After all these years I think I’ve got it down pat . Ever since they started school I’d take them shopping twice a year.
Their rations are at such:
4 pairs of PJs of both short and long
4 T shirts of both long and short sleeves
4 pairs of shorts or skirt or dress for Summer wear
4 pairs of jeans/khaki for Winter
1 formal outfit includes a cardigan or nice jacket
4 jumpers or tops
1 Winter coat
7 pairs of undies and bras
7 pairs of socks
As for their school uniform they get:
2 sport T shirts and shorts
3 shirts each long and short sleeves/dress
3 pairs of pants short and long/ 3 skirts
1 jumper
1 blazer
1 sport jumper
5 pair of socks
My reasoning ? Shirts are changed every day and it gives me time to wash and dry them by the time they’ve run out.
Though I need to get an extra jumper for my youngest as when it rains the jumper doesn’t dry quick enough for school the next day.
As for shoes they get a pair of each.
1 pair of runners, sandals , dress shoes, school shoes, Winter shoes, thongs.
This week I need to take them shoes shopping .
My youngest needs new runners and my son thought his school shoes needed an upgrade. Though when I asked him to try them on there was no holes and it’s still got good meat on the soles so I declined .

Only noticed the rip this morning so guess my son need new school shoes after all.
They are good kids they never question why they can’t have new stuff. They just accept it.
Come to think of it they’ve never asked me for stuff when we go out shopping even when they were younger.
