I walk through this underpass all the time to get takeaways and goodies .

In the olden days it used to be covered with graffiti and posters.

Until they freshened it up. When I first saw it I thought oh no. Think of religious messages , light boxes, grey and white paint.

And yet it worked? How’s that? Have not seen graffiti for years now.

I like the light boxes . A bit tacky but the messages are great.

There’s a third one about God. I’d left that out since I don’t barrack for any religion.

Not only did they get rid of the graffiti  they managed to get rid of the riffs raffs as well.

The youths used to congregate near the entrance of the Centro intimidating shoppers. So what did they do ? They piped Opera music through the speakers .

When I first heard of it I couldn’t put two and two together . You see Box Hill is made up of mainly Asians . And yet who in their right mind would listen to Opera? Most of them don’t understand English let alone Opera?

Then I realised apparently youths and Opera music don’t get along . What a brilliant idea. Every time they go back to congregating Opera music would go back on 😝
