Woke up to find a message from another volunteer asking if I’m volunteering both days next week?

I replied yes.

Last few years I’ve been accepting shift ad hoc as have been busy . I was averaging one shift a month.

Lately I accept whenever . A bit more frequent now that I’m not working at the hospital .

I try to aim for one shift a week but it’s not happening . Like this week I’m buggered from playing tour guide that I haven’t accepted any.

Next week I was only going to do one day and then the Monday one came up and since the shift was emailed a few days ago and no one’s keen I’ve popped my hand up for it.

I feel bad because if no one puts their hand up the client misses out. And well my days can be shuffled around quite easily I don’t mind helping out a bit more when I can.

Anyhow G must have spotted the two shifts next to each other and got worried. I’ve since assured her no I didn’t forget and that I am doing both.
