On days like today I’m thankful for volunteering.
It gets me out of the house and provide me with some company. When you’re at home all day it can get pretty lonely.
All my friends are at work. The only source of companionship is my clients really . Or else I’d go visiting mum and dad. Mum can talk your ears off.

I’ve made it to the station with plenty of time to spare . My train to meet is not even on the arrival board as yet.
I wonder what’s in that tent ?
Today we are travelling to a hospital I used to work years ago so it’s an easy trip. I’m hoping to be back at the station by lunch.
Usually if it’s a return trip I can estimate the time back. If it’s a hospital close by it’s roughly 30 minutes there and back and 30 mins to wait for the doctor and 30 minutes for the procedure. Thus the trip is at least 2 hours total. Today it’s much more . It’s 3 hours at least.
This morning they’ve booked me real early with an hour 35 minutes from time of pick up to appointment time. It means I have to be at the station early and lots of waiting time.
At this rate we will have about near two hours to wait at the hospital. Here is hoping the client needs the loo and something to eat so that we can kill time.
I used to intern at the hospital where the client come from thus we will have a lot to talk about.
Problem is when you’re in the regional area the trains don’t run as frequent. It’s not their fault as if they don’t catch the earlier train the next one won’t get them to their appointment on time.
It’s just a very long day. Was browsing short courses on the train. There’s some good ones about. I was thinking of booking myself into the pasta making one. The duck not f..ck cooking one looks good too.
I’m wondering what was in the tent, too. 🙂
