It’s 1015pm and it’s noisy. The three of them are causing a racket. Hubby’s badminton friends are over for a few drinks.

Here is hoping they go home soon as I’m tired. 

We wind our clocks back tonight. A sign that Winter is approaching . 

I hate Winter and dread it every year. I never used to mind it much when I was younger. Now older I feel the cold much more.

Have decided to start on my project today. Not much of a start just getting ready. Have started studying our Reno plans.


The problem that needs solving is light into the two apartments downstairs. And access to the 4 apartments. 

The two downstairs have easy access as they will either go through the front or back.

The two upstairs the back would have access the front won’t .

I was hoping to just have a light well in the middle to light up the two downstairs. Also act as a divider for the upstairs two.

It’s not possible. Because we have a concrete mezzanine right spanking in the middle of the upstairs.

Then the only way is to have two light wells at either end. 

Then the bedrooms will have to be flipped and go on the internal walls with the living areas to the front or back of the building. 

The access to the top front apartment will be to the side. They’d enter from the front go across the void to get to their stair case.
