A copy cat?
I was in the city on Thursday walking around planning my tour for class. I thought to myself jeez lately there’s been a lot of police presence in the city.
I just assumed it was because the Spring Carnival, the Melbourne Cup with more visitors to the city etc.
If I had done it on Friday it could have been me there. It’s a route I usually take to cut across one street to the other undercover through the arcades to catch trams.
Luckily the police came quickly and well no guns and only a knife he didn’t do much damage. The gas bottles didn’t explode.
And to think we are so far away from it all. I still think Melbourne is safe. Even though this is the second or third? For the mall?
Nowhere is safe anymore!

It’s awful but I have lived here most of my life and compare to countries I’ve visited it’s still relatively safe.

It’s awful to think that way Marty. We’ve had quite a few incidences here but no guns thank goodness. Ever since they had the buy back the incidences are pretty minor compare to over your end.
This guy drove his Ute through because it’s part of the mall that cars can get to to drop off deliveries, do U turns etc before the main mall. As the main mall is blocked with steel barricade posts now.
