I left for work an hour early as I didn’t know how long it will take me to get there. Plus in the morning there’s traffic and I wasn’t sure where I was going to park or where the department was.
I got there half an hour early and thus sat in my car. Parking was good. Plenty of off street parking around just across from the hospital.
Next week I’ll still leave at the same time but I’ll go sit in the cafe and have a cuppa, read the paper.
I think I did good. The job was pretty easy. For $2 less an hour the work that I’m supposed to do is only half the workload of my last place.
The in charge was really happy to have me. She said to me you’re not going anywhere. We are keeping you. It is so she can have her day off.
My hours are 8-6pm with half an hour lunch. I get a tech to help me from 9-3pm. The rest I’m by myself. If I’m organised enough the tech will help me deliver my scripts.
The in charge will sort out all in charge stuff ie ordering and what not. I only have to dispense , counsel the patients and pretty much be present so the pharmacy can remain open.
All in all it’s been a good day. Bonus for working there? The hospital kitchen treat staff to hot chips at 4:30pm.
How cool is that?
Friday I’ll be at another hospital. It’s one that I’ve worked at before. Last time I was there was in 2008. It’s grown since then. Will see how that pans out.
