You’d think if I’m paying 14K that I’d get proper timber? Nope I’m getting craft wood and that cabinet is melamine.
So today I’ve decided that I’m not going to rush anymore. I’ve emailed the production manager to please cancel installation for tomorrow and please build a new cabinet and paint the cabinet and shelvings to match the cabinetry.
I have always hated melamine. It just spells cheap cheap cheap.

Yes that’s what I wrote to her. It’s like 16mm chipboard and the melamine is not even covered properly. I can get a cupboard like that from Bunnings for a few hundred dollars

I know Murphy beds aren’t cheap, but that price you mentioned sounds excessive. Especially for something made with subpar materials.

It’s 3K without cabinetry. The Italian ones are like 5-6K. So by the time you add in cabinetry it’s much more.
I thought 14K was excessive but I was willing to pay for quality. Well it’s not quality that’s for sure.
The cabinetry is painted 2pac so it’s expensive in that way

I can understand when you do kitchens that you’d have heaps of cupboards. To save costs you’d give so melamine. For goodness sake this is one cupboard and yet they skim on it
