My goodness me it took forever 😩
Problem with the recipe is that it didn’t tell me which sauce to use ?
When I did the marinade I used the Squid brand . So 1/4 cup and 1/4 of sugar and about 5 cloves of crushed garlic for 1 kg of drummettes.
When it came to the sauce itself I used 1/4 cup of fish sauce made up of 2/3 Squid brand and 1/3 VH brand. Still 1/4 cup of caster sugar and it was salty as.
In the end it took 3 tablespoons of honey on top to balance it out.
Hubby’s verdict ? It’s yummier than his nephew’s because I put in the fried garlic.
As for me? It will be awhile before I make it again. Too much work for too little gain.
My son was like why don’t you BBQ it mum ? and use the sauce as a glaze ? Hmmm not a bad idea.
Made some tofu in black bean sauce .
Simple dish : sautee some brown onion in oil then add in 2 tablespoons of black bean and garlic sauce (Lee Kum Kee) and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Some boiled water gently float the tofu in and simmer lid on until the tofu is cooked.
Should only take 5-10 minutes. It’s one of my quick meals . I used the whole box of tofu today.
Yummy 😋

Hehehe you’re too far away. The recipe is there. It’s quite easy to make just fiddly 😊

Hehehe only when I can be bothered. I’m trying to find new stuff to make as I’m bored with same old same old.

I can understand that. I do some cooking but my wife does most of it.

You might have to help more when the Bub comes along . I used to ask my husband to choose between washing the dishes or bathing the bubs. He’d always choose bathing the bubs 😂
