There’s a way. May be I was googling what I needed wrongly. Have found the mob that I want.
This mob can retrofit our front windows with double glazed glass. The kids should be happy.
Now that there’s a bar across the road it’s even more noisy. Very happy. Another job crossed off on my list. Looks like it will be their Christmas pressie.
It’s taken me 6 years to solve this problem. I wonder how they will deal with the lead light bit?

It reminds me of one of my favorite Genesis songs, In The Glow of the Night. It has this line:
“Sheets of double glazing help to keep outside the night,
Only foreign city sirens can cut through,
Nylon sheets and blankets help to minimize the cold.
But they can’t keep out the chilling sounds.”
Phil Collins apparently hated the “double glazing” reference, but it was a Tony Banks song (their keyboardist). Anyway, TMI from me, but that’s all of this reminds me of. Sorry! 🙂 – Marty

Nice one. I should listen to their songs. I’ve got a CD of theirs somewhere. Years ago I went to a music chat room and a guy in there was a Genesis fan. So I went out and bought one to listen to. Ummmm it’s somewhere around.

I’m kind of a freak of theirs after all these years. So it doesn’t take much for me to start spouting their lyrics.
