Missed my daily post.

Not much to report except that I’ve managed to move the modular to one side and fitted 3 tables down one side which will sit 18 people.

I’ve also managed to kill one of my doggies π© the sheepskin underlay dragged and knocked it over π© now my puppy is all lonesome without his mum.
Managed to find matching rods for the oldest’s BIR. Since she tends to hang everything up I’m taking away her shelvings and installing two more rods for her. Saves buying her additional storage. At $16-17 it’s the cheapest option.
I’m going to include a belt hanger as part of her Christmas pressie as well.
As for the window people they’ve come around for a measure. I’ve decided to go with their top product. About $500 extra for each window. Only to hear from the youngest the noise doesn’t bother her π©
The guy was good in that he didn’t try to sell his best product but let me make up my own mind.
Tomorrow I’ll have to sort out the payment so that we can get it installed before Christmas.
Tonight we attended the awards night for our daughter. Felt like half of the school received an award. I’m exaggerating but it looked like 50 girls from each year got one.
And when you sit through that many awards it didn’t seem that special at all.
I joked to my hubby the more awards they give out the more parents attend the more money they make . Let see $15 a pop both parents came means $30 per kid times by roughly 300 kids. Do the maths.
The venue charges for drinks as well. The bar is usually open pre-event and alcohol is served.
It’s a great fundraiser but then I wonder how much of it went towards the hire of the venue? Since the kids go to a public school they do not have the facility thus they tend to have to hire out a private school performance centre for their events.
One good thing my butt is still in good nick. We sat on nice comfy seats π
That is a lot of seating. Wow!
Alcohol at a kid function? I need to move to your area! I also wonder about those awards. Some kids get so many, it isn’t even special to them.

They have four standard awards . Academic , arts , sport and social service.
Social service is service to the school ie on student rep. council etc

Our place? Thatβs hardly any. We used to entertain easily at our old place. It had room for 80. Sit down meal for 30-40. I do miss my old place some days. Not the cleaning though.

Iβm taking it slow doing a bit each day . Usually I conk out before the guests arrives walking around like a zombie. Thatβs why I hate entertaining too much work.

I love parties. I throw about two a year and they are not just plain fun with little stress. My favorites was one for my husband. I had made 3 cakes for his birthday and we had surprise guests drop in from 630 pm til 10. I don’t do them for myself, just for my family.

Alcohol at a school function is a way to get more parents to the PTO meeting. *smiles*

πππππ itβs a public school . They need all the help they can get. Over here private school gets paid by parents 10-25K for a kid per year plus government funding. Public school gets only government funding. So they have to fundraise
