We went out today for a class excursion to Phillip Island.
Our first stop was Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. I think I need to go back for a visit.
Cranbourne Gardens is all about native Australian trees. Found out Eucalyptus or gum trees are known as widow makers. If a giant tree drop their limbs you’re kind of like dead meat.
Then we headed off to the Heritage farm on Churchill Island
How cute are these babies?
The views were just gorgeous.
Butt anyone? Koalas at the conservation centre.
Nobbies , Round island and you can see seal rocks to the far left.
The beautiful landscapes
The weather was pitiful this morning but it brightened up for us.
Looking down on where the penguins parade was going to be. They were so cute and well rules are rules no photos allowed.
Cape Barren geese.
It was a very long day. I’m glad it’s over. Tomorrow I’ll work on my commentary again and submit it.
My talk was just enough. I had only 15 minutes. I talked about the mutton bird or the flying sheep and fur seals. I left heaps out, didn’t even have time to talk about the Grand Prix or wild life. Happy with it over all.
