I had a get together with my friends last week and we talked about our lives.

We’ve known each other for 30 years plus. They are one of my oldest high school friends.

Anyhow one said to me it looks like she’d never retire as she’d be bored stiff.

I used to think that. I’d be caught in a vicious cycle of not working then get bored then I’d start working again.

Now? I’m happy I work one day a week. I’m too busy running around volunteering researching for my tours I don’t feel bored.

Lots to do if you can afford to. There are meet up groups to attend etc it’s a fun life.

I can’t imagine going to work full time again? I love my one day a week. It keeps me sane and I enjoy the work.
