Watching our oldest doing her tax return with her friend was excruciating to say the least.
She hardly earns thus it should be a straight forward tax return. She should get her money back.
She got stuck on her private insurance question. So we worked through it. It shouldn’t matter as she’s our dependent.
I was annoyed at her for scrolling her mouse too fast. Hence that’s how she missed it.
She should have chosen F . There were only 3 options.
1/ you have no dependent
2/ you have dependents
3/ you’re a dependent
and yet both her and her friend couldn’t figure it out.
In the end the last few years’ tax was submitted and she’ll be getting about 5K back.
Guess where that money is going ? To pay for her 21st bar tab 😂
Well spent. You’re only young once.

I’ve told her we will cover half of her party costs as our pressie. Plus she’s holding it with her friend so it’s not too bad.

When you buy it yes. When you place it on a bar tab it’s not.
Let see last time I went out a cocktail was like $20. Beer can be anything $7-8 multiply it by 150 people and the young ones can drink.
The venue already costed 2.5K minimum. That includes a security guard. Then you’ve got to pay bar tab on top. That’s why I suggested she holds it with her friend so at least it’s only half the costs. It works out as both of them have lots of mutual friends.

Wow, I would want to be pretty shit faced for that kind of money. The price of alcohol in Australia versus America is going to be another difficult thing to get used to.

The young ones can’t save as it’s expensive. I used to go out with nurses and they can down 10 drinks a night plus food etc that’s like $100-200 gone
