Having breakkie and pondering. I went to buy bacon because I had a craving for it the other day.
Well that craving came and went just as fast. Made myself fry up a rasher for breakkie and making me eat it.
Still got 9 rashers left 😩 might have to put it into my cooking.
The guy I met yesterday is participating in the Tough Mudder event today.
He’s in his 50s and looks pretty fit. He runs and swims. It’s still beyond my why anyone would enter events like these?
I’d steer clear of it. I’m pretty conscious of my age. Aging doesn’t make it easier, recovery rate is much slower and well let face it that torn calf muscle took me three months to recover and there was a lot of pain that came with it.
My flowers this morning. Disappointed with my Mr Lincoln. Hardly any scent.
As for our dinner last night?
This huge 7L pot of eggplant casserole yielded a take away box of left overs.
Because our oldest has put away this box for her boyfriend. Either he must eat a lot or she’s popped enough for two as they are studying for their exams together.
I once had a neighbor who used to participate (rather than “compete”) in triathlons and similar extreme events. She’d pay lip service two weeks before an event to train for it, but basically she showed up not being ready. Then she’d maybe finish 1/4, 1/2 of the competition if she was lucky, before completely hitting the wall. We scratched our heads why she’d do this. Anyway, I’m sure the guy you met is probably fit and takes it seriously. But I have to agree with you on why anyone would want to do anything like that. My 50 minute gym workout is enough for me. — Marty

You’re good Marty. I’ve only set foot in the gym once my whole life 😂

Curiously, I went back over 10 years ago when my first marriage was starting to crash. I figured it was either that or booze. I guess I chose the healthier alternative. Hang tough, Vy.
