We’ve had bad news all year. Our trip to Thailand opened my eyes. I saw people earning minimum wage and yet they are still smiling.
Success is not money but knowing what you have is enough.
Yes we are still lucky in all aspects.
1/ I can flush toilet paper down the toilet.
2/ My kids are smart arses and can be a pain sometimes but at least they are not druggies
3/ We have heating and AC
4/ The business is doing okie. It generates enough to put food on the table, cover our living expenses and a holiday overseas every 2-3 years.
5/ We are all alive and kicking. No health issues.
I can go on and on.
Despite everything I’m thankful for all that we have.
Great way to look at life. That’s one of the greatest things about traveling, by the way. A new perspective can be eye-opening, mind altering, and teach us many things, The least of which is to appreciate life. Thorns and all. π

Yes travelling does that. Here is hoping the kids learnt something as well.

I’m sure they did. Just may not appreciate until they’re older. π

When one has enough all of one’s needs as an organism are fulfilled which frees us to enjoy being alive.
