Mr Boardie asked me the other night in bed. Once you’re free what would you like to do with your life?
He jolted me with that question. I’ve never really thought about it much? Here I am a near 50 years old with no inkling as to what I wanted to do.
I was lost for words. I had a quick thought and I told him. I want to live a simple life as I don’t want to go back to full time work. May be part-time work earn some pocket money? I mean if I live carefully within my means I should be able to stay home full-time.
What will you do with your time then? Easy I said, I’ll just take on more volunteering. Learn new skills. Do more courses. I have to learn. I can’t stop learning.
Then I’d like to travel. See the world.
I think that’s it.

I’m with you on this. Free time to volunteer when you want, take time for yourself when you want, and NOT having to work. That sounds ideal to me. My question is, will things change with you two once it no longer has to be clandestine? I’ve heard that the thrill is gone once there’s no risk or sneaking around to have to do. Have y’all discussed any kind of future irate y’all content just to hook up when necessary? Just curious.

It has never been a thrill for us. We have a bit. He said once you’re single I’m out of here. It’s a case of him only wanting to date women who are not free. He’s not looking . He’s scared after his failed relationships. He thinks single women will demand this and that. He has no time. He has no money either.
I’m not looking. I’m scared too. I need a friend more than anything. As for demanding I’m busy too. I guess the one thing I’ll demand is pretty much cuddles.

I hear ya’. I think it’s wise, of you to be apprehensive and him to have been honest with you. Rebound relationships rarely end well anyway. 😊
